If you’re a little bit addicted to interiors and DIY, or maybe renovating a house, you’ll know JUST how important lighting is. A mood-setter, a style-enhancer. I’m very fussy about lighting and if I had my way there would be no ceiling lights in existence whatsoever. It’s been nearly 3 years since we moved into our home and I can probably count on the fingers of one hand how many times the main lights have gone on in our home. Thankfully there is now so much choice on the market that people can be as unique or as trend-led as they want and it’s possible to achieve a great look even if you have a limited budget.

It’s been a little while since our last competition here at Boo & Maddie so I’m delighted to announce that I’ve collaborated with First Choice Lighting to offer one lucky winner £50 to spend online at their fantastic site – if you can’t find something you like then quite frankly, you may as well be living on Mars.     That copper shade is gorgeous! We’re over 2 years in and have only replaced one shade in the lounge so far, I find it so tricky (or maybe I’m too fussy?! ) x

    I love the wall light with in line rocket switch in all colours but particularly the light green. I’d need two to replace the awful wall lights we inherited when we bought the house. Also love your copper pendant in your hallway too.

    Being in the midst of completely renovating our entire house, I have spent a LOT of time looking at lighting this past couple of years. This website seems to have literally all the lights I’ve loved and thought of buying all in one place – thanks for bringing it to my attention! Our next project is the kitchen, since it’s all a bit up in the air at the moment I’m not sure what the room will look like yet, but I’d love to incorporate these!

    This would be handy as we’re moving house in 3 weeks to a home which we need to do lots of refurbing.
    I’ve just gone through sooooo many pages looking at beautiful lights, and I couldn’t pick which i’d like most, but I love the retro/ antique looking pendants for our dining room.
