Last week wasn’t the most exciting in the entire world, plenty of going to work and coming home. Oh, and if you saw my Instagram over the weekend, THAT drunken Friday night. So much fun but oh how I paid the price on Saturday. There were however lots of lovely deliveries, both of things I’ve ordered and for blog collaborations. Now I’ve had a little daylight to take some pictures, here’s a round-up of my favourite home and lifestyle treats and things I’m loving right now.
The Sweater
Instagram is SO tempting isn’t it? I came across Pearl and Earl who hand-print on to ethically sourced sweaters and couldn’t resist the Flash Lightning Boyfriend Fit in Grey Marl and Rose Gold, size small. It came just a few days after ordering and is so cosy. I love the long sleeves and comfy cuffs and it fits like a dream. Definitely coming with us to Tallinn in a few days.
The Lamp
There’ll be a full post on the blog tomorrow all about this amazing lamp from Habitat called ‘The Apex’. I went to an event with them a couple of weeks ago and they kindly gifted bloggers a lamp of our choice. It now has a new home on my IKEA dressing table in the bedroom and looks just right.
New Online Store Albert & Moo
Another Instagram fave and fellow south-east London dweller, Lianne has recently opened her online business Albert & Moo (named after her bearded dragons, how cute!) She has a fabulous range of homewares adding more all the time and so reasonably priced too. I picked up the ‘hello’ sign, this cute little house shelf and the geometric pot, perfect for succulents. It’s not the permanent home for any of these items but until I work out where to put them they look quite lovely!
Working With Bloomon
I love fresh flowers in the home and am delighted to work with Bloomon over the coming weeks. The first bouquet arrived on Wednesday including some very handy instructions on arranging them but I think I need some practice. They look so grand though, as if they blog in a house twice the size or some kind of banquet.
Office Updates
When I eventually finish faffing in the back bedroom, our office needs a new coat of paint. It will be a similar dark grey but with a more cohesive accessories colour scheme. I bought this super copper globe from Maisons Du Monde which looks so pretty. There’s a clock for the wall too but it’s quite big and I’m not sure I’ll keep it – perhaps time for an Instastories poll!
Sorting My Face Out
As focused as I can be on the house and the blog, I rarely look after myself. It’s high time to invest more time in me, both for fashion and beauty so I dug out this Perricone MD skincare set I received in a goody bag and am committed! I’m so guilty of taking too much for granted when it comes to health and appearance but it’s time for a change so you may see more of this on the blog as I find my feet. It’s about time really.
