I’ve got a confession to make – I’m a bit of a stationery obsessive. Our little home office is full of pads, pens, colourful boxes and most recently, pretty pots of copper loveliness holding push pins, paper clips and mini bulldog clips.
For me, stationery has been a love stretching all the way back to school when pencil cases were replaced by pencil tins and erasers came in scented in little plastic cases. Now I’m grown up, my eraser collection has been replaced by a need to hoard cards for every occasion – godchildrens birthdays, weddings and christenings, get well soon, congratulations, not to mention the never-ending roll-call of birthdays.
Sending and writing cards is such a simple yet meaningful gesture, especially in this electronic era where people don’t really write any more. I was recently introduced to Evermade.com, an ever-growing resource for design gifts. They collaborate with exciting new creative talent to develop unique and playful products for you and your home, working with illustrators and designers from around the world and make it convenient to order group cards online.
I was recently asked to pick one of the “cardbox” collections from Evermade to see what I thought of it, my choice being volume 4. Each box contains 8 unique cards for different occasions and comes in a stylish notelet-style holder reminiscent of Pantone colour schemes with on-trend brown envelopes and retails for £12.50.
The cards are perfect, finished in incredible quality with a selection for all occasions and all blank inside for your message. I loved the modern, fun designs since in my humble opinion there is a lot of “twee” on the market. It’s super handy to have a great range of cards available and as one of my colleagues has recently returned from paternity leave, we’re going to use this gorgeous ‘Congraulations’ card from the box to give to him.
Evermade is more than just an online card shop though, they sell art prints, clothing AND gifts which means not only could you buy someone a card from them but all your gifting requirements are met too.
Even better, they’ve kindly offered readers 15% off anything online, just quote FOLD15 by March 31st to take advantage – I guarantee you’ll find something lovely to purchase.
Thank you to Evermade.com for kindly gifting me with a box of cards for the purpose of this review. All images, words and opinions are my own.
