Beautiful stationery from Katie Leamon

Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved stationery. From collecting brightly coloured eraser and pencil tins during school to appreciating greetings cards and notepads now I’m older, there’s nothing quite so aesthetically pleasing as beautiful products which make life that little bit more enjoyable.

I came across Katie Leamon on Twitter and curiosity piqued, decided to check out the website. Always on the look out for unique greetings cards to include in DaisychainBaby orders, I loved the stylish sophistication of the designs and, on receiving a few samples, the quality of the cards is simply stunning.

Based in London but with a family run production unit in the English countryside, Katie Leamon is a luxury card and stationery brand already stocked in stores such as Selfridges and Harrods. Predominantly hand-printed, the brand reflects owner Katie’s love of typography, stationery and vintage curiosities and you gain a sense of the care and attention which goes into production on seeing and feeling the cards. As I said to one person on Instagram, they’re the type of cards you want to smell (stationery lovers will understand exactly what I mean by this)!

In a world where manufacturing and consumption occurs on ever greater scales, it’s so refreshing to see smaller unique businesses coming into their own and reminding us that there will always be a place for careful craftsmanship and attention to detail. There is also a rather beautiful Instagram account which may just make you drool a little…

I’m delighted to say that blog readers have a very generous 20% off any orders placed online at Katie Leamon between today and 8th April – simply use code ‘BooMaddie20’ to claim the discount. I have my eye on so many things, how about this beautiful zigzag notebook or this striped stationery set? And these vintage wooden spools are just gorgeous. I hope you enjoy browsing the beautiful store and may even be tempted into a purchase.

Katie Leamon kindly sent me some sample cards for this review but all words and opinions are my own.
